Re social media: The points made are all good. As Ed Dale would say (after his late conversion) Facebook is really only for networking with your irl friends, but Twitter… well, I don’t know. It’s like joining in a great bit World conversation. Especially when something is happening, like the Iran election protests, the British Election or anything that interests a lot of people.

what Mari said about finding a balance really struck a cord with me. There are several levels of social media management. Some you can outsource some you shouldn’t. As a SMM myself I think finding the level of involvement you are comfortable with is key for your success. The more personal your brand the more engagement you need to be involved with.
When you take the time to learn to use social media it will pay big dividend for you later as you grow your reputation online.

@elsbc (wiping off your throw up)… It is what you want it to be Eric. I don’t want to be in bondage any more than the next person, and that’s the idea behind this video, how are leaders in SM succeeding with it? Find the balance for your business, but be there if for no other reason than branding.
Thanks for chiming in,

@WCBusinessCoach Thanks for mentioning that. We need to be realistic what a given online property (other than our own) can offer to our business.

I really enjoyed the interview and conversation. Great natural flow, and you did asked good questions. If I could offer some constructive advice… the annotations were a little distracting and didn’t add value to the content for me. This was my first time ever seeing your video so I had no idea that you may have worn a pocket protector in the past… Maybe you could use the annotations to add tips that you couldn’t fit in the interview. Just my two cents.
Again, great job.

20% get 80% of the business; 80% get the remaining 20% of the business. The 20%, who get the 80%, do so because they do the right things. Only 20% of any possible actions are the right actions, the other 80% are the wrong actions, even if done right. The 80%, who only get the 20% of the possible reward, do so because they only do things right, including the 80% of the actions that are wrong. The 20%, who get 80% of the reward, do more of the right actions right, than wrong actions right.

MF the sound quality is hollow and cavernous, hard to listen to. Your room is too “live” and sound reflection becomes sound refraction, this is also called “shearing” which the unconscious mind reads as confusion, as we ’struggle’ to differentiate we miss content. Nasty. Real Butt!
